Let’s stick together and come through a difficult period with unity.

We approach this game with a sense of excitement and a strong belief that good results are coming. We believe that because we have a group of players who are dedicated, committed and prepared to continue working hard to get out of a difficult situation.

After three away games, we want to return home with a win. We come back here with a positive attitude because I think we deserved more from our last three matches. The quality has been there, the desire has been there and now we have to keep working to make sure we get the results our hard work deserves.

It is the end of October and there are 84 points still to play for in this Premier League season. We are not in the position we want to be in, but this is a situation we can recover from, a situation we believe we will recover from.

At Stoke, I saw thousands of Chelsea fans who share that belief. On a Tuesday night, away from home in the Capital One Cup, there were nearly 5,000 Blues together with us, singing and backing their team. We need your support again today, because it means a lot to the players when they hear you are with them.

We also show respect this afternoon by including the poppy on our shirts, as we will do at Stoke next weekend. Today is our dedicated game in support of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and we welcome our special guests to Stamford Bridge for the occasion.
