Zanetti suffers Achilles rupture

Inter Milan�s Javier Zanetti suffered what was confirmed to be a rupture in his left Achilles in the 17th minute of Inter's game against Palermo and as he left the hospital, the Inter captain vowed to return stronger than ever saying:

"We will decide when I have the operation. They haven't told me how long it will take to recover, but my career is not over. The important thing is to make a good recovery".

During the press conference before the Champions League semi-final Jose Mourinho spoke about his phone call with the Inter captain after his serious injury : "I spoke to Zanetti. He is ready to do everything. He will battle hard to make a comeback".

He then avoided commenting on the complaints of Mario Balotelli, who said that Italian referees had it in for him: "Balotelli and Zanetti in the same question...?"
