Mourinho, the son of former Portuguese goalkeeper Felix Mourinho. Mourinho, began his
career on the coaching team with Bobby Robson at Sporting, FC Porto and Barcelona,
during which time he developed his coaching techniques.

His first managerial role came at Benfica but his career accelerated when he arrived at
Porto, where he steered the team to UEFA Cup and Champions League glory. He continued
his winning ways at Chelsea and won four consecutive league titles (two at Porto and two at
Chelsea). For two consecutive years (2004 and 2005), he was named the world's best

Mourinho on Mourinho:

“I am Portuguese. I wouldn't put on the scarf of another country. I can smell, feel in my
country. I know they are proud of what I am doing.”

boss.”
